Or so I hear...

I was in the car on the way home. The sky was dark towards the lake. As I drove closer to home, the sky just opened up and torrential rain poured down. I began to hear the dreaded clicks of small hail and made my way to the nearest tree. I know... Not the best idea!!

When I got home, I saw hail covering the grass like a brief snow storm, but with some seriously big snowflakes...

I also found the top of my sassafrass tree in my front yard! More pics to come...

Committed, but to what?

Recently I was talking to a group of guys. Many mentioned how no one has any time. We're all so over-committed these days. At one point, someone mentioned: perhaps we aren't committed to the right things. It's an interesting question to ponder.
Do our commitments reflect our beliefs? Our convictions?
Is our time spent where it really counts, or are we throwing time at unimportant activities? Either way, we'll feel busy and a little strung out. But if we've aligned our commitments to our beliefs and values, at least we'll feel satisfied as we collapse in the chair at the end of the day...
